Wastewater Treatment Plant of Ghor Al Safi
- Services • Study and evaluate the current condition of the existing wastewater treatment plant in Ghor Al-Safi and conduct a comprehensive environmental and technical assessment of the plant site. • Prepare conceptual and preliminary designs for the new wastewater treatment plant and study alternatives for the treatment technology and plant location. • Prepare detailed designs and tender documents for the selected alternative for the wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of 250 m3/ day, to serve the needs of Ghor Al-Safi town up to the Year 2030, expandable to cover the needs of the town up to the year of 2065.

Wastewater treatment plant at Ghor Al-Safi/ Al-Karak, with a capacity of 250 m3/day of raw sewage transferred by tankers. The selected treatment alternative is SBR technology (Sequencing Batch Reactors) and the purpose of the treatment is to produce treated water according to the Jordanian Standards No. 893/2006 (Category A) to be used for irrigation. The plant consists of the following components:

- Equalization tank
- Aeriation tank
- Sludge holding tank
- Sand filtration system
- Chlorination system
- Drying basins
- Treated water tank
