Adaptation to Climate Changes in the Jordan Valley – Rehabilitation of Irrigation Networks

The rehabilitation works of the irrigation system in the Adaptation to Climate Change in the Jordan Valley project included the following components:

  • Component 1: redesign of 18 km irrigation system in Ghor Al Kabed, which were most affected in terms of infrastructure and Operation and Maintenance (O&M).
  • Component 4: “reclaimed water pipeline between TO 33 and TO 24” of the project “Adaptation to Climate Change in the Jordan Valley” – ACCP (Project) to connect the existing ends, at TO 24 and TO 33, of the reclaimed water pipes from the northern and ZC III carriers. The infrastructure change will allow the use of reclaimed water efficiently and effectively in the Northern and Middle Jordan Valley.
  • Construction of main pipe 700mm between pump stations TO 24 and TO 33 the length of this transmission line is around 9.0 km
  • Rehabilitation of TO 28 including operating buildings
  • Connection of the main pipe of 700mm diameter to TO 24, TO 28 and TO 33
  • Supply and install the required electrical works
  • Construction of new pump station at TO 18 with the all electro-Mechanical works
Provide SCADA system to connect the stations and monitor of the pumps performance.
