New Al Azraq sanitary Landfill and Al Shamalyeh Dumpsite
Project Description:
The project aims to create a cost-effective and affordable engineering design for a MSW sanitary landfill in the Azraq district. The landfill site will provide a long-term operational capacity for a minimum of 20 years of waste disposal in phases and will include a closure and rehabilitation of the current dumpsite in Al Azraq Al Shamalyeh. The site is divided into six separate areas, including an entrance, buildings, ancillary infrastructure, leachate management unit, burial area, landfill expansion area, waste management facilities area, and infrastructure works. The site components are connected via an internal roads network, and the road leading to the site is 6.8 km long from the main street. The main function of the landfill system is to protect the surrounding environment, including soil, groundwater, and surface water, by containing the leachate generated within the landfill and controlling the movement and emission of organic gas in the landfill.Provided Services:
