Aqaba New Port- Phase 2
  • Services Review and verification of the existing marine works design documents and preparation of the EPC tender documents for the marine works of phase two. In general, the scope of services is performed in the following stages: - Stage 1: Data collection and review preparation - Stage 2: Concept Design and tender documents preparation - Stage 3: Prequalification of contractors & tender process In addition, scope included contacting and coordinating with the various stakeholders such as ASEZA, utilities companies, Ports Corporation, Civil defense, maritime authority, security agencies and any other concerned party.

The New Port of Aqaba is one of Jordan's national infrastructure priorities and will constitute a major element of the country's long-term economic growth, as it is part of its sole maritime gateway and a key component of ASEZ's emerging positioning as a leading multi-modal logistical trade gateway for the Levant region on the Red Sea. The new port covers an area of approximately 600 Donum, and the on hand prject (Phase II) includes providing extension and expansion of phase I works to include:

  • Berth 5 of 250 meter extending eastward of berth 1 on the south side of the basin
  • Berth 6 of 250 meter extending eastward of berth 2 on the north side of the basin
  • 56 meter- extension of berth 4 and adding a mooring dolphin including removing the existing revetment
  • The addition of a mooring buoy on berth 1
  • Dredging the basin and dredging in front of berth 3&4
